Canvassing: Walking door-to-door for a candidate or issue. Using a script to speak with voters about the specific issue or candidate and asking for support or information from the voter.

Staffing: Distribute yard signs and literature. Help staff booths at local festivals and/or County Fair.

Communications: Helping to develop memes/messaging for website, Facebook page and mailers.

Event planning: Helping to plan and put on our annual fundraising dinner as well as develop and plan outreach events.

Parades: Helping to put up and take down float. March or ride the float and distribute candy or information along parade route.

Phone banking: Calling voters using a script and phone banking software to speak with voters about specific issues or candidates and asking for support or information.

Poll watcher: Sit at the polls to ensure that proper procedures are used. Track who has voted so we know who to call with gentle reminders about voting. (Polls open at 6am.)

Election Judge: Work at the polling place on election day or by helping with early voting. Training is provided by the County Clerk’s office. Election day hours likely to be from 5am until 8pm.

Precinct organizing: Talk to voters in the assigned precinct to gather information about voter preference. Hand out information and distribute yard signs.

Write elected officials: Write letters and emails to elected officials about specific topics of interest to the group.

Write letters to the editor: Write letters and emails to local newspapers about specific topics of interest to the group.
